Hello Coaches,
As you have
probably figured out, we have added a
new communication tool to keep you and
your parents more informed. This tool
is Email Alerts and Newsletters using
Constant Contact.
To make this tool
effecient, we need your help (and the
help of your parents!)!!! Although we
have uploaded all email addresses we
currently have into their system, there
are numerous email addresses that are
"bouncing" - some are due to
typographical errors, others because the
email address is no longer current, some
because their system will not accept our
emails unless they sign-up
directly....whatever the reason - our
emails are not reaching our entire QH
AYSO Community.
So, what we are
asking, is for every member of our
region to visit our website,
www.qhayso.org,
click on the link "Email Alert Sign-up"
which is located on the front page just
under the AV
Radio.net
logo, and follow the directions to
confirm/add your email address to this
system (and if you would like to
receive our Email Alerts/Newsletters,
etc. at several email addresses - you
will need to follow this procedure for
each of those addresses).
First type your
email address in the "Join our Email
List" box and you will be taken to a
website and asked to type in your email
address again; After you hit the
submit button you will be sent an email
from Constant Contact asking you to
update your profile (it is done this way
for Security purposes). Just click on
the link and you can choose which
mailing lists from which you would like
to receive emails. Currently, there
are six lists: 2009-10 Coaches (emails
just for coaches only), 2009-10
Players/Parents (emails for
Players/Parents - by choosing this list
a player/parent will receive all emails
except for those just for our Coaches or
Board Members), General Information
(just emails that have general
information will be received), Email
Newsletters (just email newsletters will
be received), Special Announcements
(just periodic special announcements -
field closures/cancellations, etc - will
be received), Registration Information
(up-to-date Registration Information for
future seasons will be received). You
can choose to sign up for any or all of
the above that pertain to you - if your
email address is on more than one list
that an email is sent to you will only
receive one copy. Lastly, under "Your
Information" you will need to type in
your last name - this will allow us to
track who is and isn't registered to
receive our emails. We chose not to ask
for any further information as to
maintain as much privacy as possible.
Please note that these
email mailing lists are for QH
AYSO only; our list will never be given
or sold to anyone and you can
unsubscribe at anytime by following the
link at the bottom of every email we
will send using this system.
Coaches - we need
your help, please - first to follow the
above procedure yourself (making sure to
add yourself to the 2009-10
Coach List) and second to forward
this email to all your parents or print
it out and hand it to them directly and
ask them to join our mailing list. The
more members of our QH AYSO Community
that sign up for these announcements the
better informed all will be and the
better season all will have. This
process will take less than five
minutes!
Lastly, emails
using Constant Contact will come from
the email address:
qhayso@yahoo.com.
Please make sure to add this address to
your address book so that our mail is
less likely to get caught in your spam
folder (and if you do not receive any
emails - check your spam folder). Note
that the email address,
qhayso@yahoo.com
is not to be replied to - no one checks
it and you will not get a response from
it. If you have

contact from our list of Board Members
and please contact them directly.
